About Me

ster
I'm just some regular middle-class guy born in 1972. Most of this stuff comes to me because I've had to fix/maintain/create stuff at my job. I've worked at a public state-funded university since 2008 and have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from same-said university circa 1997. Before this, I was self-employed for roughly 12 years performing network and computer maintenance for a few local companies. I first got into technical computing by writing MS BASIC and Turbo Pascal programs from magazines into an original Tandy 1000 which my Dad gifted to me Christmas 1985. Now, I prefer Linux over any other OS. My main workstations are Debian. I love my wife, my daughter, and my step-daughter. I used to practice Kung-Fu, but not so much anymore (I try sometimes).
